where is KK2409

Still wondering if anyone owns or knows the whereabouts of my old Boss 9 I had from '79-'82. It was an original, #'s matching, 37,000 mile California car (DSO 85 if my memory serves me). Grabber Orange/Black, KK 2409, 0F02Z134618. I traded a '74 454 Vette for it, drew $500 boot, and the kid who owned it even trailered it to me in Illinois!! I needlessly sold it for $8500 in '82 and have kicked myself at least 535,000 times since....It's supposedly back in California.

Hi

This maybe a long shot, but if you believe your car may be in California, I have spoken to a guy there who is currently restoring two, yes two Calypso Coral boss 429's and I never got the KK's. The guy once owned my Calypso Boss.
I wounder if he likes calypso coral?

E-mail me and I will pass on his e-mail address.

Hello FIJI and kiwiboss,
Thanks for the response. I sold the B9 along with a 26,000 mile pewter/vermillion 71 SCJ Mach to a Cincinatti area brass car collector who told me around 1992,when I started trying to relocate the car, that he had displayed the pair in the lobby of his engineering firm until the late 80's when they were sold with the B9 going to a California collector, who he wouldn't disclose. So, what I am saying is, I think it's safe to count old 2409 among the living but apparantly it's in the hands of someone who wishes to remain anonymous and who never takes it to events as surely someone in the last 18-20 years(who now reads this forum) would have seen it somewhere and taken note of the kk#...About 8-9 years ago I contacted Steve Strange who claimed to have no updated info on the car since I had registered it with him in '79. In my opinion, it was really not a candidate for restoration as it was in excellent condition only missing the smog equip. With prices what they are today I probably couldn't afford to buy it now anyway but 15 years ago I would have tried to make a deal. I just thought it would be nice to know where it ended up. I have located what is probably the oldest B9 owner on earth at 96 years old! She bought the car in the early 70's because the salesman told her she would never lose any money on the car and drove it as her daily transportation until she could no longer push in the clutch. It is a bit faded but is in remarkable condition. It has been parked several years but she won't consider selling at any price and believe me I have offered serious money.  I wasn't allowed to look close and get any #'s but it's grabber blue/white for your records of another one that still exists. Thanks again, ex2409pilot
