Mid-America show & Team Shelby-Tulsa
« on: June 05, 2008, 09:13:24 pm »
Just found out from a good source in OK, that Jim Wicks and crew have been moved out of control of this show by Team Shelby folks....sad deal, I know Jim puts his heart and soul into this event every year.  So be aware of this guys!
Sounds like everything else going on down there may just fluff and wanted to warn the Boss folks what to expect.
I hope it is not true and just a rumor, but with Shelby's war with SAAC and Amy in charge of things, I don't know what to think these days.  Good luck and have a great time.

Sad to hear this. I hope it's not true, but the way Shelby has been doing things, I wouldn't be supprised. Seems he is just looking to piss off everyone who keeped these cars in the limelight for many years.

It takes a huge effort by an awful lot of people to put an event of this size on. Does Shelby have the people to do this himself ? Would the original people who would be running the meet be working for him ? This is an interesting turn in the Mid America saga. It will be interesting to see what, if anything has changed. As with all politics there is our side, thier side and muddled in between the two ... the truth.
I'm still going, I'm still going to meet a bunch of fun people, sell some parts and have a good time.
Thank's

Hey Fellas,
Not sure where that rumor came from, but all is well in Oklahoma. I assure Jim, Randy, and David and crew are in control of this event. Trust me we have been putting in the hours to prove it.
