How to post a photo, image, etc.
« on: September 05, 2002, 01:48:11 pm »
Ok, here's how to "post" a photo or image in a posting.

First, type this:
Code: [Select]
Second, type the internet address (URL) of the image: "http://www.boss302.com/banner01.jpg"

Third, type this:
Code: [Select]
[/img]
Type it all together on line with no spaces but DO NOT include the quotation marks (") shown around the address . I had to include those to get this post to format and show correctly.

Code: [Select]

Hey, if I reply to a post or create a new thread without logging in first, my image does not appear.  I replied twice to this post.  The first time I did not log in but I submitted my user name and password at dialog boxes provided on the reply to post screen.
The second post, I logged in at the 'index' screen then posted a reply and my image appears.

I had nothing to do tonight!

Vince,
I did receive the e-mail and placed it in my signature box exactly as you stated. What I was trying to do in my last post was to put up an entirely new picture just to try to learn for myself so I do not have to impose on everyone whenever I want to post a new picture. I understand and have written down the correct order in which to write but I think my confusion is in how to get my picture sent over to the website in order to post it? Please dont string me up yet as I will eventually figure this out.The irony is that I can cut a car in half and put it back together but just cant get this through my head! Thanks again,

Don't worry, Mike, you haven't earned a bozo button yet. You have to try harder. <g>
