Project goals
« on: July 10, 2009, 05:12:14 am »
I'd like to start this thread for anyone who has a car, not finished, but plans to finish it for this event. Post pics of your progress. Think of this as a little 'race' if you will.

Good idea, Randy. Most of us work better under pressure with deadlines. I got my car ready for 2005 reunion in one year. Didn't join the Boss family til later but the Carlisle reunion was a real treat. Now my goal will be just to be breathing and show up in Norwalk.

I'll jump in first. I'd hoped to be on the road by this past April. Engine is done waiting for dyno time. Seems I have 2yrs yet to finish; that should be enough...I think!  ;D

We will be done too!  We wanted to go to that show this year and just couldn't coordinate our vacation dates with it.  But we will be sure to corrdinate as soon as we know the dates for the 2011 Event.

http://public.fotki.com/cabinmoose/boss-302/   I will update photos today as we have made more progress.

But check out some of his other stuff.  He is an awesome photographer and took a bunch of pictures yesterday at the York Muscle Car Madness Show.

Hey.  I know that yellow boss.

Tim, are you thinking about going out in 2011.  Let's talk.  If I can work it out, I would not mine going out there if you may be going.  I would trailer mine though.  I will catch up to you may be at Loews on Friday night.  We have a lacrosse tournament game at Cedar Lane at 6:20 (hour game).  If I do not get up there, we are on vacation next week I will see you in 2 weeks.

Well Randy, the plan this time is to get the car there. After talking with trailer pulling drivers and seeing the different trailer pulling vehicles at the 2005 Boss Nationals, my plan was to purchase a vehicle that could safely pull with minimal trailer induced vehicular sway. Oh what the heck, it's not a Ford product however, the dealer incentive was enticing. Barb and I will see y'all there in Ohio in 2011. Hmmmmm, maybe another Boss Compendium???

Until next time...

Cheers

Got an email from a BOSS owner today that made me think of Carlisle '05. We got a bunch of people to bring their UN-finished cars to that show. If your car is almost done, bring it anyway. At least it'll be in the group shot that will most likely make some magazines.

You guys remember Rex Fields car in one of the buildings? He had a great display with his engine on a stand and the car about 1/2 done. Besides, you might get some pointers on what to do on the rest of the car.
