Motor mount heat shield attached - see pic
« on: July 14, 2009, 11:06:08 pm »
Does the heat shield go on passenger side as shown, driver's side or both? Things are getting pretty crowded in this area - not sure having a heat shield on this side of engine makes sense.

Thanks,
Rick

You think its crowded now, just wait till that starter cable need to go in!!!

Yes, right side, the shield would need to be 'altered' to fit on the left side.

(When I got my car, mine was made to fit on the left side)

Rick, I cannot see your picture but, the motor mount shield sits on top of the motor mount and is sandwiched between the motor mount and the exhaust heat shield.

Here's a picture I took of my shield on the engine.  It's several pictures down.

Exactly - trying to figure out which way to route the starter cable.

Mike, this is your heat shield! Fits perfect. Wonder why you are unable to see the pic?

Where I'm currently viewing, the site is blocked. I can view it when I'm home.  It looks very nice with with the other restored parts.
