Original floorpans are the same on regular mustangs as Boss Mustangs (except for the staggered shock portion over the rear wheels).  The confusion may be that the repop floors have the incorrect ribbing and drain holes (or at least provisions for the drain holes).

Congrats on the purchase NavyChief. Alot of work there but you'll enjoy it even more when its back on the road. My 51 Ford F-1 had been setting since 1982. It also had rusted out floors when I bought it. I've since replaced them and driving it. Not as much fun though as watching the road gravel going by looking through the floors at 55 mph. I got a kick watching my wife lifting her feet as we're going down the road. I told her no worries that her legs needed to be another 4 feet longer before they'll drag.LOL Gary

Does anyone make a frame jig I could buy or borrow to put the new floors, wheel wells, rails and quarters on with? I think the only hard problem will be the lower window portion and supports. May have to find a donor car for those? Any one wanna make any donation? I promise you a free ride when I am finished. I will be posting a step by step process on my web site when I get started http://www.1970mach1.net

Thanks, Chief

Here's a shot of my last project before they shipped me overseas for 3 year. Started life as a Mach 1. 6 months to build. $23,000 to build.

I emailed them and this was the reply

"I can not cut up Fastbacks any more & have no way to ship items that large. You would be better to buy an old body off eBay in your area."

My hat off to you for taking one of these fantastic cars and committing to bringing it back from the dead.

Yes, if you are patient you will find a fastback (ebay is a good source) where the front end has been folded up and you can retrieve the back half.

Where are you located? east, west, mid?

I have a car trailer and travel the Northwest a lot. I will lend a hand if possible.

Welcome Chief!

WOW! I thought my car was rough!  There is another member here named Armon, he got a 1969 in similar condition and did a fantastic resto.

This IS the site all things BOSS and some of the best knowledge of BOSS cars exsists here ( I am not one of those brain trusts! LOL!)

To That end,  members here keep track of every BOSS car that comes across the block and like some have said here before alot of B2's have shown up in very poor condition. The  concern is VIN swapping to another donnor body which is illegal and hurts the value of BOSS cars.

By the way, keep that flack jacket handy around here; discussions can get passionate and heated but usually end like most "family" arguements.

Good luck with your car and THANKS for serving our country!
