Hello Rcode
Thanks for the kind words. I could not make out the numbers on the block, but seemed to be to high 252??
What will you be doing with the block 139996? Thought it might be cool to atleast have the number after mine. Do you guys out there think my price is fare? It means to much to me to give it away, but it just sits in the garage, maybe ten years from now if it doesn't sell I'll have more time for it.
Thanks Darrin  SLC UT

the 139976 block is part of a rebuilt motor , i got it out of greeley colorado in december ,   what doesnt make sense to me is why they replaced all the boss parts with standard 351 cleveland parts , it appears a std 351 crank , i havent checked the rods but thinking std 351 rods , it has some pop up pistons , a set of 70 quench heads with adjustable valve train,  unsure of the cam in the engine, and an edelbrock performer intake ( i would have put a torker on it myself , but thinking i will put a blue thunder on it now)
i have a 71 cougar xr7 that keeps chewing up the distributor gear , was really thinking of putting this engine in my cougar
no one has came forward to say they have 1F02R139976 , but if your serious i would consider selling the block or shortblock , or what ever you think you might want off it .
about the block in your car you said it appears to be 252xxx? yes that would be to late to be a boss 351 block , also believe something not right there either your date code is nov 27 1970
I have a boss 351 blocck dated nov 25 1970 and it serial number is 173943
other than the block in your car , being held back or sitting in a wharehouse , i would think it would have been int the 173xxx to 183xxx area
unless your looking at it backwards and the 252xxx is actually a 525xxx , in that case its out of a cougar, and wouldnt be a boss 351 block
do you know if the block in your car is a factory 4 bolt main?
as far as your car, i think its a good buy

I think I'm wrong abouot the numbers I can read. They are 232???
As far as a factory 4bolt not sure. Do you think it's worth changing the motor for getting within one digit?
Thanks Darrin
