Battery decal & L bracket finish

(1/2) > >>

BruceMcKibben:
I've been reviewing a lot of photos of the Battery OK label and there doesn't seem to be any consistency in the Badge area.  So far I've seen circles with numbers, circles with letters, and other characters with numbers.  Any advice for a '70 Dearborn car?

Also, what is the correct finish for the battery hold down L bracket?

Thanks,

Bruce

It looks like my "L" bracket is phosphate and oil.  The badge number is usually a number in a circle on the decals made by ECS Automotive concepts, which are supposedly made from original decals.  Dave at ECS has put in a lot of time and research on his decals.  They are considered councours level.

Super!  That's great info and really helps out with the restoration process.

Thanks

The decal that is currently being reproduced (luck for you) and comes filled out is consistent with those found on 69 -71 Dearborn built cars as far as I can tell - other than the base material which will hold up allot longer than the original paper based sticker.

BruceMcKibben:
I just went to the ECS website and there is a gold mine of information on decal and sticker placement.  This is a really great resource.
