Mustangs by the Bay car show in San Diego
« on: September 18, 2012, 06:33:18 pm »
We usually only get 3 or 4 Boss cars out to this show, you can't beat the location!  If you're in SoCal or Arizona, come check it out

The 31st Annual Mustangs by the Bay Car show will be held on Sunday, October 7th at the beautiful Embarcadero Bay Park (next to Seaport Village). The usual raffles, events, etc will be there along with face painting and events for the kids. The show will be limited to 350 cars (no exceptions) so register early.

Well, we got nearly 400 Mustangs at the show this past Sunday.  Still only had 2 1970 Boss 302's and my B9.  There were about 14 new B302's, but not many vintage ones.  One surprise was at the end of the show after nearly all the cars had left, I had the pleasure of meeting KIWI429 and his wife.  They just happened to be in San Diego vacationing and saw all the Mustangs cruising through downtown, followed the trail and found me and my car.  That was pretty cool!

Hi

It was a surprise for us also, arriving in San Diego and seeing all these Mustangs. We followed the trail of Mustangs and then found you and your great B9.  It was great chatting with you.

We are now back in NZ after our 5 week US holiday.

Was that Boss 429 really nice or not perfect? did it need things to make correct under the hood? theres a guy in Long Beach that has the same color Boss 429 , might be it. His is nice but needs several items to make correct.

I've seen this Boss 429 several times at the Mustang car show at the Queen Mary and have talked to the owner.

Same tires, same shocks, same aircleaner seal...I'd say it's the same car.  Looks good!

I agree Earl, we should lock this in for 2013 as an event we all cruise to.

That black jade Boss looks sweet basking in the sun. Always loved that colour.

We would love to host a Boss get together at next year's show!  It is a bit of a drive, but I'm sure it would be a worthwhile trip for the show and the beautiful city of San Diego.

I just saw this thread. I also talked to KIWI429. My car was the Calypso Coral B2. He stopped by when we were taking photos on the grassy knoll after the show. Very nice family
