1969 Wimbledon White
« on: March 11, 2013, 08:20:20 am »
Don Davis, a local new car auto dealership owner and automobile enthusiast is offering his private automobile collection at no reserve auction in Fort Worth, Texas at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 28, 2013.  The cars will be available for preview Friday, April 27.  RM Auto Auctions is conducting the sale for Mr. Davis.  Lot number 136 is a Wimbledon White 1969 BOSS 429 Mustang, partial VIN 50456.  This is a relative early production BOSS 429, probably within the first 75 to 100 cars modified by Kar Kraft.  The KK number is not shown on the RM website:   http://www.rmauctions.com/lots/lot.cfm?lot_id=1058387

There are about 18 promotional photographs shown on their web page depicting this car.  They will probably add a description to the web page catalog information.

This sale happens to be concurrent with the dates of the Pate Swap Meet, April 25-29, at Texas Motor Speedway, but will be conducted at a different location.

Sold for $253 last year. Should sell for a shade higher, I would think. That price seems a bit low.

Sold for 289k.
That Don Davis collection is very nice.  64 cars were sold for 21million. Very eclectic collection.  He had said he wanted to get his collection down to 20 to 25 which is more manageable.  And only have the finest examples in it
