501 cubic inch Boss 429 SOLD!!!
« on: July 25, 2013, 04:36:44 pm »
Originally bought at Holman and Moody sometime in 1970 or 1971 as a spare engine for a guy who raced his Boss 429 it was rebuilt in 2010 and is now 501 cubes and is complete carb to pan. The block is a non "HP429" Boss 429 service block bored to 4.390 and the stroker kit is an Eagle kit with 4.14 stroke 6.7 H beam rods and 12.1 compression. A Jon Kasse oil pump along with a windage were added to the bottom end along with a Milodon kick out style oil pan for ground clearance. The engine has a solid roller cam of unknown lift and duration but the size of the valve springs indicates to me its pretty aggressive. The heads retain the original adjustable rocker arms but have custom push rods along with the NASCAR style coolant crossover. The intake is the aluminum NASCAR "Spider" intake C9AF-G with a 1050 Holley Dominator. I'm listing this engine for a friend and is at my shop located about an hour north of Philadelphia Pa. I'll try to get photos posted ASAP. SOLD!!!
