0F02G189620 engine

Working on engine stamped 0F189620, casting date of 0A13(Jan.13,1970).  Is the car still out there?

It is not is the 2011 registry.

Car just surfaced today for sale on Facebook. It’s been in a barn for the last 45+ years. $25,000.

1970 MUSTANG BOSS 302 FASTBACK

Parked 45 years ago and looking for the right buyer. This is my father's car that he owned when he met our mother. I just put up the teaser pictures until we can get it pulled out and cleaned up. It comes with an additional engine and transmission.

+VIN: 0F02G189620
+Clear Title - 3rd and 5th(or 6th) Owner
+Mileage - 90-100k on body
+Original Engine was last sold back in 80's after piston issues - last known location was in Central Iowa (Cambridge area maybe)
+Engine - 351 Cleveland w/ 2 barrel carb - Ran when parked - 40-60k
+Additional Engine/Trans - Rebuilt 302 with Top Loader 4 Speed on engine stand that was someone's office art - purchased on eBay from Rockford, Illinois ~15 years ago
+Rear end and transmission in car are original, #s matching
+Front left had light damage but was repaired

If I remember correctly, that block/engine was in a 65 fastback Mustang/Shelby clone.  It had spun a bearing and the owner was trying to decide if to rebuild the BOSS engine or install something else.  They had cut the shock towers to fit the BOSS exhaust manifolds in the engine bay, etc. I think he had it rebuilt and re-installed.  The engine being possibly sold in the β€˜80s fits with when the β€˜65 was supposedly built here in Iowa.
