I know two of the previous owners before Mecum bought the car as a collection buyout.

Just visited a car collection 1h:30 min. from home were the Superbird now resides.there were A few Yenkos there too, but not sure if they came from that auction. The Superbird for sure is, it has the Pizza add on Aircleaner. I went there because the guy has two 69 Boss429, one Maroon and a Raven Black.

I think you went there to visit so you would not have to line up at the drags with the Boss 302 equipped 67 Cougar or a "Duster"!! ;D

Ed, it was the Pizza sign on air cleaner that made me find the connection to the auction. Yes it appears to be nice resto. The new owner also has two 69 Boss9s. One is black and the other Maroon. I drove my 70 Fastback 580horse Cleveland 500mile round trip to see the collection. Dancobraman, the trip was more fun than 1/4 mile(s) for 11seconds.
