is it off of a Boss 302 Eliminator or a plain jane cougar? seems there was a difference in whether or not it came off a staggard rear shock car or not. if i remember right?

Hi Mike, There is no difference in the Cougar rear sway bars. All 69-70 Cougars with the upgraded handling package had 1/2 rear sway bars... even the Boss Elims and/or 428 powered Drag-Pak cars having staggard shocks.
I have a few extra 69-70 Cougar rear sway bar set ups too, that were removed from parts cars back in the 80's.

I'll have to defer to Katnip302's expertise.  This was purchased as part of a Mustang package deal I got a while back.

Question? wouldn't a 69-70 cougar sway bar be the same as a 69-70 mustang sway bar front and rear?

You would think but the rear sway bars are shaped differently.  Cougars rear bars are "straight" where as Mustang rear bars are bent to clear the fuel tank.

Wasn't aware any 69's came with a rear sway bar, Boss or CJ? New new's, just curious?

That is my understanding as well - '70 production item that can be retro-fitted to '69's.

But I could be wrong.
