Oh my, this took my breath away as I just read this news about GS. What a tremendous man and I am so saddened for his family.  Thank you Dana for the memorial service information. I plan on driving down and giving my condolences to the family on Friday.

When I joined the forum in 1997 he was very helpful and discerning as I told him of my desire to modify my BOSS and keep it true to the BOSS's racing heritage.

I met GS when he debuted his BOSS at the Mustangs In the Park event in Van Nuys.  We sat together all day and he was a delight to get to know and to listen and learn from him.

Amen to Dana's exhortation about being physically active. I tore an Achilles' tendon two years ago and became sedentary, even after I was able to start walking on it. I just did nothing.  Then my son and daughter in law had a baby boy in June and I looked at him and told myself I need to be around here for a long time. And while I cannot know when the Good Lord will call me, I can control how I take care of myself physically and mentally. So in June I got off my a$$ and started working out again. What a monumental difference.

Let us mourn the loss of our friend and also make certain we are doing what we can to make sure we are here for our own loved ones.

Does anyone have any pictures of G.S. that they could post? I've been reading his posts and sagas for many years and would really like to be able to put a face with the name. What a huge loss to this group.
English lesson 101:

You’re very nice to let me ride in your Boss 302 that you bought in days of yore.

They’re very nice to let me ride in their Boss 302 that is parked over there.

Two Boss 302s were driving too fast for the street so they drove to the track.

Absolutely shellshocked at this news...Steve (G.S.) was a great guy. Incredibly knowledgeable about Boss 302's. Always dabbling, he had an uncanny sense of what to own and when. Many were stunned when he sold his Boss for a then record amount. But wouldn't you know he'd re-surface in the wildly hot early Porsche 911 market, again amassing an astounding amount of technical knowledge. Our recent visits, chats, and 911 forum posts reminded me of our meeting in 2003 at a Boss-related event. But just as soon as I finished my 911, he was off again, this time in the Ferrari market, landing on a 550. He was actively looking for one for me......and then.......this. Those who knew him are better for it.

Sad Day in BOSSVILLE.

I will be forever in debt to Steve for the knowledge he shared with me (as will we all) while building my own BOSS and the great times we shared doing the PJ car. He was truley a "CAR GUY" and a great Friend. I know he's got his head under a hood in the place I call Heaven. My heart is heavy tonight, we lost a Classic. RIP

Very regrettably, Unable to attend G.S.'s  services.  (wife's b-day 30th).
Those of you who do attend (and I've met several of you) please know that I'm standing among you in spirit.
