Les Thayer "Breakfast Club"
« on: November 08, 2015, 06:55:12 pm »
Let's not forget Les (1950-2009) and his "Strap on the ol .45" after eating poopfarts!

I met Les many years ago for breakfast one morning at the airport. He brought along his son Tracy who to this day is still one of my good car buddies. Les's daughter has his Boss while Tracy has the Pantera.

BOSS 302's are like a fabulous WI cheddar. Both get better with age and you buy them for your enjoyment, not as an investment.

Les's posts brightened most every day when I was new to the list. I looked forward to them every morning. He was able to put the best light he could on life's twists and turns. I loved that he called it the "Breakfest" Club - perhaps an intentional misspelling, but if not, it served as a reminder that each day should be celebrated. I never quite knew if his "strapping on the old 45s" (44s?) each morning were his britches or his sidearm. I'll bet Kellogg's wondered what happened to Poopfart sales when he passed.
Now get out there and get to work - and watch out for all those ice fishermen!

I too remember Les.

He quit smoking and would post the number of day's he had been "smoke free".
Owned my BOSS since March 1974.

I guess you could say Les was my first out of state BOSS friend.  I never actually met the man but around 1981 I put my BOSS 429 up for sale.  Les wanted it but wanted to trade me his 70 BOSS 302. If my memory is correct it was White with Red interior. We never did get together on the B9 for B2 swap but over the course of a year or so Les would call every 2-3 months and we would talk cars for an hour. Les was definitely one of the good guys. RIP Les

I was just looking at some of Les' posts because his BOSS 302 is for sale. The posts never fail to give me a smile or confusion. I miss that! His energy was infectious. The Breakfast Club posts were must see. Gone too soon  and waking up the angels in heaven. RIP 1970boss3021950.

Dear LT Les breakfast Club Moderator pooptart profesional

I know your looking down from heaven watching and reading all the post and wondering what happened to your breakfast club, I remember your first post here you made me laugh, and continued to make me and hundreds other laugh on a daily basis, you even made Bosscougar Frank laugh when you posted you would shoot your computer for acting up and who knows how many others laughed. You became smoke free, you made pooptart stocks rise in value due to the higher sales. Ever morning you got your 45 on and woke us all up with a smile and when you were late we woke you up. I miss your sense of humour it was one that everyone enjoyed. When it’s my time meet me at heavens gate with my pooptart. You are very much missed. Your buddy ice man

Admin I have a respectful request to make can we ad to les signature ( Global Moderator breakfast club Lt Les)

Also please

Since Les breakfast club was such a hit in the other section can you please ad a new topic called breakfast club and transfer les post there so we can continue the tradition that he started that was so successful , please and thank you for your consideration.

If any others feel this way please post, maybe we have bossneeds take over the club lol

Here's the update.

Tracy sold the Pantera and Cary (Missyboss) just sold the BOSS.

I usually don't eat poopfarts, however I do have a couple of .45's.

I don't know if I get up early enough for that prestigious role.
