I have the numbers matching trans for this car.   If someone could let the current owner know.
Thanks

Update on the numbers matching transmission: at this time the present owner of 0F91G544281 has decided to pass on reuniting it with the car.  However, he will pass along the details to the the new owner once the car has sold.

*It was most recently listed for sale on eBay last week, where it bid to $65.5k: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Mercury-Cougar-/331974149053

1/2017 Edit: Update on the numbers matching transmission: the present owner of 0F91G544281 has purchased the transmission, reuniting it with the car.

As some of you may know it sold for $85000 at the Barrett Jackson auction last night.  Nice to see it sell for a good price and I hope the new owner enjoys it.  It does appear that when Mikes Classic Cars put new leaf springs on it that they have a little too much arch as the rear sits a little higher than it should.  Also noticed that the front spoiler was loose in one corner.  If you look at the rear quarter panel you will notice that the rear side marker light and the eliminator decal do not line up correctly on the passenger side.  This is because when the quarter panels were put on in 1987 the body guy did not cut the hole for the marker light correctly.  He did not realize this until after it was painted and so we just decided to leave it alone.  Anyway, hope the new owner enjoys the car.

Back to Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale - this time with the numbers-matching drivetrain installed!  SEMO Mustang spent the last 2 years or so sorting out the drivetrain and putting the numbers matching block and transmission back into the car.

SEMO Mustang completed the installation of the original engine and transmission in this car this past July.  The original block had a crack which they repaired.  The car was then on the auction block at the Russo and Steele auction in Monterey CA this past August where it was a no sale at $100,000.  And as Mike mentioned it is now going to be on the auction block again.  Wish I had the money to buy it back.  Won't happen unless I win the lottery before January.

The selling price at the 2019 Barrett Jackson auction was $85,000 plus the buyers premium.  This is the same amount it sold for two years ago at the same auction.  Installing the original engine and transmission did not raise the price.  A friend of mine who shows concours quality Boss 302 mustangs viewed the car prior to the auction and advised that the car is needing some items taken care of on body.

Plus Dave, there was another BOSS Eliminator in the auction that was the same color with p/s and a console that sold for $110,000.  It didn’t say anything about it being a “W”, though.
