Correct Upper Control Arm
« on: February 23, 2004, 03:59:40 pm »
What would be the correct number of rivets in the upper control arm of a Boss 429? In the master parts book it show's that the cut off date between the 3 rivet to 4 rivet design was 7/14/69. Would this be correct for a Boss 9 built in 10/69? Thanks for any and all help.Tim

My 70 Boss 9 had 4 bolt B-joints. KK number was 2157. Same date for build also. I believe all Boss 9's had 4 bolters.
FYI-my 69 has 4 bolters also.

Thank's to all of you. I talked to Ed Meyers last night and he informed me that the 4 rivet design is correct for 69/70. Ford did not see the reason for a design change in the upper control arm due to low production. He also stated that the upper control arm is unique to the Boss 429.
