There is a local cars and coffee less than a mile from my house. Sunday I drove the mustang down there and back. A friend of mine recorded a video of me leaving the parking lot (with permission to give it some gas by the guy who hosts the show). It's really cool to see it moving!

Front bumper fitment was bugging me a little so I did one more cut and weld to tuck the edges of the bumper closer to the front fenders.

Also finished up the rear bumper fitment.

Just my opinion but I think the front spoiler needs to be angled forward more. Can't wait to see it painted.

Got a call Monday morning that the body shop had a last minute availability. Took Monday off work so I could jam and finish last minute tasks on the body.

Removed a bunch of items to get them out of the body shop's way. Finished fitting the rear bumper and filled a few more screw holes. Now she's off to paint!!!

Yeah, I have referenced that car a lot, especially when making the flares.

Currently I'm thinking green, but we're going to spray a test panel first and let me live with it a bit!

Mac,
I actually like that green. Go for it! My heap will be painted its original 1969 color 'Lime Gold'.

Visited the paint shop while the car was being disassembled. It was nice to see someone else working on the car for a change! I got a chance to go over all the details with the body guy.

Went back the following week. The whole car was cleaned, etched and sealed in epoxy primer. The right rear quarter was bodyworked so I could approve the sharpness of the fender flare line and make sure everything was just right before moving on. They'll now reassemble and do the rest of the body work before disassembling again for paint.
