HELP
« on: March 08, 2004, 06:04:43 pm »
Gentlemen,I have a problem .  I have a stock block BOSS 429 KK 1824. I am the original Owner since 1969 and I am now resurecturing it from garageland. The engine has been rebuilt with many changes from stock. My problem is the oil pressure reading on the dyno. We ran 3 pulls and with a supposedly high volume oil pump were only able to get 45lbs pressure at 5900RPM. We shut it off 1000Rpm below what we thought redline should be with the roller cam and crower super rods with a 550HP and 489ft lps torque reading and were concerned that the oil pressure was not in the 70lb range. Can anyone verify thr location of the oil restricter plugs or suggest an oil pump that will net me at least 70lbs pressure. Thanks for your help!!
