2013 Boss 302 Oil Filter

Which is the Ford Racing Filter with extra capacity: FL500S or FL820S?
I believe the service replacement is the FL820S, but you can use the bigger FL500S.

Someone please confirm.

They are not the same, even though they fit. There are differences in burst rating, bypass valve pressure etc. the 820S is the larger filter. See this...

You can use the Ford Racing filter. CM-6731-FL820. (Not the same as a 820S). It has 283 sq in synthetic media area, flow rate of 13 gpm at 7.3 psi, goes into bypass at 17-23 psi, and has a burst pressure of 626 psi.
