Forum question
« on: February 03, 2018, 05:32:07 pm »
Does anyone know how to jump to a particular page of this forum? There are 1430 pages as of today. I'm trying to read them all, and would like to be able to jump to where I left off.

I think the only way to do it would be to save the web address for the page, from the header in your browser.
You'd have to do that at the end of each session. If you saved it to your Favorites, one click would take you to the page.
My 2 cents worth.  :)
Cheers,
Bob.

Ok. I knew I could do that on my laptop. Not as easy on the phone. Just hoping there was an easy way built in to the forum architecture. Thx.

It is easy, at least on my computer.  I have not tried in on a mobile device.

Let's say that you are on page 61 of the BOSS 302 General Discussion section of the Forum.

If you click on your Browser bar at the extreme top of your computer's window, where it currently reads: "boss302.com" you will have highlighted an expanded version of that URL which will be:  http://www.boss302.com/smf/index.php?board=2.1200 for the example given, (page 61).

If you copy that and paste that entire expanded URL in a storage area (file) on your computer where you can access it easily, you can then go to that saved file, copy and retrieve the URL, and then paste it in your browser which will bring you to THAT page easily - in this example, page 61 of the BOSS 302 General Discussion section of the Forum.

You can then read that page or scroll easily to the subsequent page(s).

Click on the link above, and it will take you directly to Page 61 of the BOSS 302 General Discussion section of the Forum.

And, Yes, as NZnoboss said, you will need to do that at the end of each session.

I just tried it on my iPhone, and it works really easily.

As a point of clarification, there are far more than 1400 pages of Postings on the Forum.  There are about 2800 pages, half of which are found under the BOSS 302 General Discussion section of the Forum.
