« on: May 05, 2018, 11:44:18 pm »
If you know of an Eliminator for sale or are looking for an Eliminator, please feel free to post here, or contact me. I'll do my best to help you find the Eliminator you are looking for, or help find a new home for your Eliminator, if possible.  Send me a PM or email me directly at: EliminatorSearch@CougarClub.org

The complete list of Eliminators, including non-Boss cars, can be found here: https://classiccougarcommunity.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=8760
Also, be sure to check out the Eliminator Owners and Enthusiast group on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/473220306059769/
You don't need to have a Facebook account or be a group member to browse!

Did some "Spring Cleaning" on the listings a bit. Took out many of the OLD listings and Facebook listings, as many of those are not updated and may no longer be available.

Ok, there are TWO Cougar with alloy wheels on this posting.  I for one, have never seen a Cougar Eliminator with those wheels as an option???   I thought that you could get the chrome rims / caps (stock) or the Mercury sport wheels (argent centers, trim rings and blue Cougar caps) as the option!  New to me!!!  But hey I am NO expert!!!   THX!!

Ed,
They are not stock.  All '69 Eliminators came with the 10 hole styled wheel similar to what came on a '69 Mach 1.

In 1970, the base wheel option was the steel rim with a cap (different cap than a Ford), optional rally wheel covers (same as '70 Mach 1 but with a different center cap), wire wheel covers (yes, per Kevin Marti there were 21 with them) and the styled steel wheel (5 spoke) with trim ring and running cat center cap.

70B302Cat,
Thank you!!  I had the "the styled steel wheel (5 spoke) with trim ring and blue running cat center cap" on my 69 Cougar XR-7.  Always loved those wheels!!  Appreciate you clearing that up!!

Highly recommend doing your due-dilligence on both of these.  You can start by googling the VINs.

Good point. Thanks Mike.

It would be nice to get some clarity on the gold car.  If a rebody, which seems to be the concensus, somebody did a lot of work to make it look legit since it supposedly has staggered shocks and under fender vins.

Dave, you mention that the '70 Mach 1 styled wheel covers were an option but with a different center cap. Would they also have come on the wider 14x7" wheels? I am pretty sure my optional Cougar styled steel wheels with trim rings and blue cap are only 14x6".
