Intake Gaskets
« on: May 17, 2018, 07:47:09 am »
I am looking for the correct white colored intake gaskets. I tried using original gaskets however, they don't seem to seal well and I typically get a leak. I did have the gap checked between the head and intake and there is no mismatch. I'm not sure where I saw this, but I thought I saw that someone has reproduced this style gasket. Does anyone know who this was? Is there a preferred gasket that works best? One recommendation was to use a gasket sealer around the ports. I may do that as a last resort however q good gasket is my first choice. BTW I didn't use the cork gasket on the front or back.

Thanks in advance

I just finished fixing my intake leak, i believe the main cause was pitting on the intake / rear water ports i used sealant around the ports and used a felpro gasket i have a MR Gasket as a spare.

Both are the wrong color but its sealed UP.
