Never noticed the seats... the things that jumped out at me were the toggle switch on the dash, chicken bar and trunk mounted antenna.  Also never seen the chrome trim strips around the wheel wells before on a B1.  Of course Gateway never posts the vin or a Marti so who knows what else.  May be a B1 tribute they are trying to pass off.  Price just seems out of character for a dealer as most are usually 20K over reality in that price range.

Gateway Classics states that this BOSS 351 has its original engine and I can see that the rev limiter is still on the car.  Interesting that a previous owner added an engine oil cooler and that the Hurst shift handle has a set screw, which was used in 1970 on the BOSS 302, but not used on the BOSS 351.  As for not posting the Marti Report or the VIN number, I think Gateway Classics just does that so you will contact them.  It may be worth checking out this BOSS 351 in person or contact Gateway for more information.

I spotted the Mach 1 fuel cap.
And I’ve never seen the grab handle on the passenger side of the dash.
Is that a factory thing??

I will offer a prize to the person that puts 20 in ONE POST!   (or sell the guy that buys this the correct parts)

P.S.  If I can spot 25+ in photos, can't imagine want is wrong, in under or during reassembly !

I am about as far from being a B1 expert as you can get but the gas cap and exhaust trumpets are an improvement in my opinion.  Screen wire over the headlights and door edge guards is about all my meager knowledge of the marque sees...

Also... what's up with the "351 ram air" decal on the hood.  About half the B1's you see say "351 ram air", the other half just say "ram air".  What's really correct?

YOu guys aren't "playing" !  LOL    But the R codes only showed Ram Air on the hoods.   Other cars called out 351 Ram Air or 429 Ram air.

This car seems to have every option on the wishlist available. Were they added on? The chrome fender and hood extensions should be body color. The blacked out areas seem incorrect in the way they are edged. Various bolts are painted over, the front fenders seemed to be chassis black behind the headlights and decal placement/useage. If factory equipped the trunk floor should have brackets to receive the "U" shaped brackets of the trap door. If Larry Shinoda designed the graphics, I think RAM AIR would be all that was on the hood because 351 is already called out on the fenders. The car looks nice but should be checkout in person. Nothing too hard to correct.

OK, I love looking for this stuff so I want to play. Going to make it easy and make a list. Not in order because I went over and over the pictures.

1. Chrome door molding. You could buy these and add but didn’t come on the car

2. Chrome hood and fender molding

3. 351 Ram Air on hood

4. Headlight screens

5. Wrong gas cap

6. Rear spoiler mounted too far up on trunk

7. Chrome exhaust tips. Didn’t even change rear valance for cut outs

8. Rear power antenna not stock

9. Missing rear bumper filler

10. Hood alignment really sucks

11. Stripes applied really badly, look at where they end at rear both sides

12. Grab bar above glove box...really!

13. Dome light very incorrect and very modern

14. Seat back release on driver side

15. Seat back knobs wrong

16. Driver and passenger seat belts wrong. Look at them where they attach to floor

17. Trunk floor missing folding seat rubber and bracket for fold down seat

18. Paint overspray on inside of trunk rear quarters wrong

19. Chrome spokes on Magnum 500 incorrect. Should be satin

20. Missing space saver spare, jack, wrench and inflator canister

21. Decal on air cleaner wrong

22. Decal on fan shroud wrong

23. “Front” decal on air cleaner wrong

24. Oil cooler added

25. Fender bolts painted

26. Hood springs might be round instead of flat. Hard to tell for sure but looks round

27. Last, the time on clock appears to be wrong. For those not paying attention that was a joke.

I’m sure I missed a lot but how did I do Mark? I think you’re right, if we checked underneath it would likely have lots more wrong if you were looking for a true factory correct car. I am not running this car down because it’s a B1. It’s just not factory correct for someone that is looking for a close to factory correct car.

Well....over to you Mark.
Contestant number four is really making a play for the grand prize.
Mike even noticed incorrect time on the clock. I love it.
Can anyone better that lunge for the line??

Well, we have different ideas of "wrong" things !!    (I bunched the stickers/stripes into ONE "Placement of stickers anywhere/everywhere!"

But some really good ones pointed out (I may have missed the hood springs and "time"  LOL).  I have 14 more on my list - so it would be still open to someone better than me with SPECIFIC parts issues (hint hint)

Mark
P.S.   I got to tell you this one.....Get a load of the A/C car radiator rubber on the car !   BUT WAIT - it is covering the radiator, not the air opening between the support and the radiator.   (could be hiding the 1973 Automatic Radiator ) LOL

I don't a thing about BOSS 351's. But I do know that I would never ever, ever, ever, buy a BOSS Mustang without everyone here helping.

The seats are funny though!
