Happy Birthday PJ!  Indeed one of the nicest people I have ever met and very proud that I got to spend a day with George Follmer and PJ at a Ford show in Indy.  They inspected our Boss 302's, told stories, talked racing for hours, it was one of those days I will NEVER forget!!!  Both great men!!

I guess this was the same show I attended...about 10-12 years ago.  I got PJ's autograph twice when I was a kid at Sprint car shows and remember thinking that day... why bother him again, but wish now I had so I could have seen his reaction when I told him we've done this before at a Sprint race about 40 years ago.  Anyway, Happy Birthday Sir!  You've been a hero of mine long before anyone ever heard of a BOSS 302.

1970 Sportsroof  - SCJ - W code - 4 speed - project

Happy birthday to Parnelli! He is a huge legend and racer in my little brain there are only a handful of RACERS that come to mind and Parnelli and Foyt are on the top of the stack.

You can't have heros like them anymore, there are simply too many candy a$$ed people who insist on complying with social norms.

I've said too much already.
John
Parts are parts, cash is only money and doesn't have the same value. You get that right?

1962 Porsche 356B-T6 Silver-Black interior (It's a Porsche that is what they should be.)
1969 1/2  BOSS 302 Mustang Calypso Coral (it's a '69 1/2 the popsicle colors are the best!)
1970 BOSS 302 Mustang Lime Green Metallic
2010 Mustang GT Red Candy Metallic

In a July 2016 article that appeared in Hot Rod Magazine, AJ Foyt was asked about his favorite race car, and Foyt replied it was driving sprint cars at the 1/2 mile dirt track at Ascot:

It must have been tough to win at Ascot in the 1960s as it was also one of Parnelli's favorite tracks to race!
