15x10 magnum
« on: September 07, 2018, 08:40:59 pm »
I see where Mustang Unlimited offer a 15x10 magnum with 5.5 backspace. I was thinking a 275/50/15 would fit in rear wheel well with out any mods. Has anyone tried this??

Their ad says this at the bottom -

"this is a WIDE wheel & is not designed for stock applications. Fitment on most cars may require wheel tubs, air shocks or other modifications."

but, you may be right.  Bet it would look awesome!

I was hoping somebody here have tried it. I was thinking  15x7 rim in front 4 in backspace with 225/60r15 tires. On the rear 15x10 rim with 5 inch backspace with 275/50r15 tires..  This would put the tires at about the same height. Anyone tried these 10" wide wheels on the rear??

Yeah I have a pair of 15x10 magnums on the rear and 15x8 fronts. These are my preferred garage rollers. I have other wheels with wide ovals fitted. I’m away for about another week. But I can give you any measurements you need when I return

I have 18"x 8" front with 245s and 18x10" with 295s, car is lowered, and absolutely no wheel rub. If you need more info send me an email since I don't get PM notifications from this forum.

Ok now I’m back
15x10 magnum rears Goodyear blue streak 7.00 15
15x8 magnum fronts Goodyear blue streak 6.00 15
These are a bias tire and ‘not for highway use’ they are quite sticky
Not that it has seen any track time but I just love the look

A guy I know with a 72 HO runs a similar rim with BFGoodrich 295 50 15 rears and 265 50 15 fronts and he doesn’t have any troubles that I know of.
