1970 Boss project. Canadian car
« on: November 02, 2018, 04:57:19 am »
Hi.  Looking to sell my boss. I’m the third owner since 1998ish, first owner added the shaker hood in the early 70s   Correct boss air cleaner assembly. (Sorry no heat snorkel) Car was ordered in Red with Louvers and spoilers, AM 8track,dog dish wheels, standard interior in black. Vehicle was sold new right here in Niagara Falls Ontario and has never left!  Second owners (early 80,s)made a colour change to orange and used patch panels to repair rear quarter panel rust. I bought the car in 1997/98 and drove it off and on but never changed anything till 2010 when I took it off the road and started disassembly in order to restore the car.  BUT not much has happened in 8 years so it’s gotta go. Quarters have been removed as well as rad support and aprons, interior has been removed but not the dash. LDriveline is still in the car , frame rails are great. Floors show a few patches on the inside but look great from below.
This car has some Stong positives! It’s ALL #’s matching! Engine trans carb distributor manifolds. You name it.  It’s pretty much the original item   I was told the engine had been rebuilt by the second owner, it always ran great, I took it to Carlisle in 2004 & 2005
I have some repop parts that I collected for the restoration mostly chrome trim, bumpers etc. And a set of Magnums still in the boxes. Odometer shows 99000 miles
Yes it’s a big project BUT how often do they come along like this with ALL the right pieces ??
Looking for $26000 for a quick sale.   I have zero interest in seeing the project thru at this point and I’m NOT interested in any trades. Thanks.
I can email some pictures   Contact me thru message

*******UPDATE ********
I put the car up on a hoist today for some pictures and the front torque boxes are rotted and will need replaced. The rails still look good, but there could be surprises once torque boxes are removed.  The floors aren’t as good as I remembered them but there not horrible,   Sorry about the confusion but I haven’t seen the underside in 8 years. Just trying to play fair.
Thx
