I've got what I think is a big block radiator but it is for an automatic transmission.  Where on my radiator will I find the part number and the manufacture date?

For 1969 and 70, the 428CJ radiator is part number C8ZZ-8005-C.

C8ZZ-8005-C would the Ford service part number covering many applications. Depending where radiator was originally manufactured, an assembly line radiator will have the engineering number either stamped on right side rail or have an affixed tag with the number in most cases. Also they will have a date code as to when they were made.

Peter,  you should be looking for a C8ZE-L,L1,L2.
Sorry, I don't have a manual transmission rad.

Mistabreez,
Thanks for the correction.  I've been wrong before!  This is alway such an informative board.
