0F02G100060 - NY Press Conference Boss Block Found?
« on: November 13, 2018, 06:42:37 pm »
While browsing the Boss 302 Owner's and Enthusiasts group on FB I came across a post asking about the VIN stamp on Boss blocks.
In the comments the owner stated "Mine starts with an F1 then looks like 00060."

He has posted a partial pic of the VIN (F100...), as well as the casting number (D0ZE-6015A) and date (looks like 9E25 or 9F25?).  Also states the engine came out of a Yellow '70 (W axle).  I asked if he would share the VIN for the car that he found the engine in, but no results yet.

So... after some googling, it looks like he may have the block from the Boss that went to the National Press Conference at Gurney's Inn, Long Island, NY.

Updated pic of VIN stamp.  I'm told the block VIN does not match the VIN of the car pictured above.

The owner says that he is the 3rd owner and it had been sitting in storage in NJ since '78.

Mike, he did not say that it was for sale.  I got the impression that he was not intending to sell it and is just trying to get some answers to a few questions he has.

Thanks Mike I kind of figured that but it is always good to ask. Not that it matters but I believe Gurneys Inn is still open. Mike G.
