Leave it as a race car and enjoy it.
Current lifelong project:
1969 Mustang Fastback/FOX chassis, 6 speed, 4 wheel discs, with a modern Can-Am 494 (Boss 429), Kaase headed, intake mounted with a 1425 cfm 'B' Autolite Inline carb, ala Trans-Am style…Whew!

Do you guys think he has it reasonably priced at $77k? Body looks alright..Does the lack of the original engine, tranny, rear, interior, etc..still warrant that kind of price? What’s a 69 B9 vin # worth? Its still only one of 859, right? Hmmm

A 69 Boss 429 body with VIN's and a title is still the hardest piece of the Boss 429 puzzle to find. A southwest donor body for the floors is the way to do it.

Tough to say on price, seems high but it's probably negotiable. I think a BOSS 302 in that shape would be in the $teens, so a 429 premium would jack it up some. Probably everything that makes it a BOSS 429 is gone except the VIN. Body exterior looks decent, hopefully not to cut up elsewhere, lots of gravel visible on the inside. I love the 4 lug rear.. :)

The car was back halved and the quarters have been altered. Shock towers have holes cut in them. Flange where export brace would bolt is gone. No original front suspension. Fenders are original and in nice shape. No drivetrain of any kind. Owner is a great guy to talk with and does not need to sell the car. Boss 429's are his passion. He prefers to not have people discuss his collection.

I wish the guy posted more pictures. Would love to see the engine bay, the under carriage, and a better shot of the interior with that roll cage, and whatever else he rigged up in there.

Posting expired. Did it sell? Or is the guy just putting it back in the garage for awhile...

I agree to keep it as a race car also. I always thought it would be really cool to see one race in super stock or stock eliminator, just to see what properly prepped one can really do.
