Brit,
Just a FYI.... George Follmer never drove the #15 in 1970 season.  My guess is you have one of the 1971 Bud Moore team Mustangs and Follmer drove the #15 in that season.  It should have SS Jacobs & Co. on it's livery...

That is correct from what I know. But this what Welly printed on the box. And, Follmer stencil is on car as driver.
Thanks.

Didn't want to misrepresent the boxed item.

Brit,
Bahahaha!  Agreed, but just because Welly does not know what they are talking about doesn't change history.  They used Brian Ferrin's Bud Moore Mustang to use for that model, yes it is a 1970 body, but that Mustang raced in the 1971 Trans-Am season along with the one I restored, #16 driven by Peter Gregg.!!
Good luck with the sale...

...and now just to confuse everyone!

At the 2019 Nuremberg Toy Fair an ACME display had a '70 George Follmer BOSS 302 in '70 Riverside livery listed as 'coming soon'.  Given it's just a light cosmetic redo, I suspect it will arrive sooner rather than later.  It will bear the number 16, hence all is right in the world.  Thanks...

Mike,
Good to know!  Thanks for that update, Nice that ACME will do a 1970 BM #16...I would love to add that to my George Follmer collection...!!
