Bonham's Auction
« on: June 04, 2019, 10:05:39 am »
What was wrong with the 1970 Boss9? Only brought $144,000. Was it hit by a meteor in it's earlier life?

I was at Indy 3 weeks ago for Mecum auction. They had two GB B9's one sold for only $192500 and the other was a no sale at $175k.

So basically if this trend stays or continues I may actually be able to fulfill the one and only car that would ever make me eternally happy?

Trend is at auction only. Private sales still strong.

A friend sold a non #'s matching, restored to MCA Gold trailered concours 69 Boss 429 last fall for 230k. I recently sold a #'s matching 70 B9, rust free needing complete restoration but all there for 155k. So cars that have done well in judging, or are good complete candidates for restoration are still doing well.

I too would like the low down on the 144k car. Somebody dumped it for a reason. Doesnt mean the car is bad but maybe circumstances dictated quick sale for whatever it would gavel for. And Bonhams? Seems like Barrett-Jackson or Mecum are more muscle car friendly.
