70 B2 Repop Autolite Battery
« on: June 11, 2019, 11:15:52 am »
I'm just curious  ???
I'm performing a "Spring Cleaning" in my garage next month.
I have <probably> 3 Repop Autolite batteries lying around my garage which have been used in my 70 B2.
Each got a bit weak after 5 years or so and each replaced with another.
Would any 70 B2 owner have any use for this (these) battery (ies)......display, etc??
I realize they're not the real deal, but thought I'd ask.
If not, I'll just send them to the recycle center.

Why not gut them and install a smaller battery inside? These things aren’t cheap, I just bought one from Semo.

Marcus Anghel had a write up about it some time ago,  cant remember where I read it and I don’t see it on his Mustang Factoid page.

Maybe someone else has done it on the BOSS forum?

Here is the link to the article you are talking about.  It is getting pretty old now, so I also included a link to some discussion that has some updates in it.

That's interesting process, however, more than I want to undertake.
Thx for the suggestion.
I'll hang on to them for another month and if I don't hear from anyone I'll send them to recycle.
