anybody else see Captain Bruce on TV?
« on: July 13, 2019, 11:12:52 am »
Had Fox news on the other day and President Trump was in Florida giving a news briefing about government efforts to control the red tide thing plaguing Florida's' East coast.  Apparently some long overdue work on Okeechobee will fix the problem.   Anyway, Trump said the owner of Billy Bones Bait and Tackle wanted to say a few words which got my attention.  Capt Bruce took the stage and spoke for a few minutes praising the Pres for his efforts.  Bruce was quite a character and had Trump laughing and went on to mention that his son Tanner is 21 and a brain cancer survivor.  Apparently the red tide has killed the fishing business in the area and Bruce was suffering as a result and wanted to offer thanks and he did a nice job doing so.   Glad to hear Tanner survived that ordeal.

Funny thing, I was only just thinking about their story only a couple days ago. He always seemed quite genuine. Nice to hear thanks for posting, Darryl.

I mis-spoke when I said Trump was in Florida as it took place at the White House.  Anyway, here is the you tube clip of the event.

That's awesome!

I met Bruce and Tanner a few years ago when Tanner was going through the surgery. It was tough on mom and dad to say the least. He was selling tanners blue BOSS 302 because the economy was not good for his business. Glad to see he is better.

Go get 'em Bruce!
