2019 Monterey Motorsports Reunion
« on: July 17, 2019, 12:08:59 pm »
Hey Boss family,

I'll be headed out from Colorado to attend Saturday's festivities at Laguna Seca on August 17th, to see Trans Am run as well as the rest of the lineup that looks really good that day. Anyone else planning on being there? Anyone interested in getting some cold ones and meeting up?

I will be attending the Road America Vintage race Saturday  love watching the OLD Cam Am Cars.

be looking out for any Boss.

https://www.roadamerica.com/buy-tickets/the-weathertech-international-challenge-with-brian-redman-presented-by-hawk-vintage-cars.html

A mid-summer favorite, The WeatherTech® International Challenge with Brian Redman presented by HAWK is one of the largest vintage racing events in the United States and features over 400 cars competing in several groups. The four-day weekend will also showcase a historic CAN-AM race, which is the highlight of this year’s event as an impressive field of cars is expected to gather in celebration of CAN-AM’s 53rd Anniversary. Additionally, 2019 will be a special MG Focus Event during the weekend.

During the 1950s “Golden Age” of American sports-car racing, one of the most competitive specials was the Echidna, which ruled SCCA C and B/Modified competition. Just three Echidnas were built in all and this year all three Echidnas will be at the WeatherTech International Challenge with Brian Redman presented by HAWK to celebrate their 60th anniversary of the Echidnas 1959 B/Modified National Championship.

In addition, the Masters Historic Formula One USA grid is joined by the brand-new Masters Endurance Legends USA series at the WeatherTech International Challenge with Brian Redman presented by HAWK. Don't forget to mark your calendars as the Concours d’ Elegance in downtown Elkhart Lake on Friday for race cars and Saturday night for streetcars is a can’t miss event for any enthusiast.

Steve, going up there Sunday, several friends and I driving up. Will be cooler Sunday, beating the Saturday heat. Bringing up my 5 year old grandson for his fist RA Race experience. We walk the entire track perimeter, stopping at several favorite vantage points along the way. Quite A PARK for the race enthusiast. This is just one of several trips there every summer. Love this place. Raced there myself many years ago and attended several driving schools with my boys years back. Have driven my '70 Boss up there in the past, makes for a great back road trip staying off the interstate, through the Kettle Moraines. Enjoy the day there, BE SAFE in the heat!

Sounds good Bob and prjohnson3, lets touch base closer to the event!

Steve and gtabert, enjoy the festivities at Road America, nothing like vintage iron being brought back to life on the track!

We get a Thu - Sun campsite every year, (possibly the best site), just above the entrance to turn 6, overlooking the track.
We will be there all weekend, come by and say hi if you're up that way.  I'll have the only Hemi Metallic Orange 2012 Ram truck in the campsite.
Drop bye for a beverage, or for a great spot to watch if you're up that way...
Will have plenty of beverages and firewood, for apre-race lounging... :D
