351 block casting #

Hi,Guys
I am new to this site and was wondering if anyone could help with a casting number on a 351 Cleveland motor someone stuck into my 1969 Mach 1 ! The casting no. is DOAE-L and the small no. underneath is OK20 Thanks in advance!

Pull the oil pan and see if it has 4 bolts that hold the main caps on.  If so, it’s probably a BOSS 351 block, if it has only two bolts for the main caps, then it’s just a regular 351c for the 1971 model year. The 0K20 casting date breaks down like this and would be used in the 1971 model year.
0=1970
K=October
20th day of October.
So the casting date and being a D0AE-L would correspond to a BOSS 351 if it has 4 bolt main caps and possibly the rest of the engine if it has the unique BOSS 351 parts(heads, rods, flywheel, intake, etc, etc).

Clayton, if it is a Boss block there should be a VIN number stamped in the rear of the block.  See if you can find one, it's where the head bolts to the block.
