West Coast Meet in Medford
« on: August 05, 2019, 10:47:46 pm »
A great big thanks to Melody and John Slack for putting together a terrific weekend!
The highlight of the weekend was a tour from Medford to beautiful Lake of the Woods.
The scenery was spectacular, the camaraderie was heartwarming. Throughout the weekend
experts and aficionados enjoyed hours of conversation revolving around our favorite marque.

Below are some pix. Chime in with your stories!

Many, many thanks to Melody, John and of course Mariah for a fantastic weekend. What a great group of people to spend a weekend with. It was a blast. We should do this more often. It's nice to meet here on the web site but so good to put a face with the names. Again thanks to the Slack family for making a great weekend possible. Also, great pictures.

The real thanks for Medford go to all of the BOSS caretakers that came with their time and dedication to the breed. Gerry and Lynda who drove their BOSS Mustang the farthest, Philip and Cher who came down from the middle of the Great White North to Medford. Everyone from California, everyone from Washington. Melody, Mariah and I set the stage, but oh how empty it would have been without the people who came. We got a few new people that have never been on the Registry, not that it's required.....but we have new friends! This was the goal, to drive the cars! Mark Hovander and Maria picked up the torch and ran with it every time we had to catch a breath. My gosh what a great adventure! How will we ever write a second chapter? I don't know?

New/old friends and a scenic drive.....does it get any better?

Well, we finally made it home about 2 hours ago. 2509 miles (4038 km) round trip and it was worth every mile! Cher, MacKenzie and I had a fantastic time and we want to thank John, Melody, and Mariah for making this all possible! Special thank you to Mariah; MacKenzie was so glad to spend time with you as were we.

To see all you people in such a relaxed atmosphere was so special. Another big thank you to Jeff and Craig for their valuable advice and knowledge of these cars. I will be in contact with both of you to go over what we discussed last weekend.

To all the car owners I was in awe of your cars! I was humbled my car was in their presence. You are all such swell guys and families and let me tell you, after seeing all the new Bosses, it has me thinking.

John, next time you are showing those intakes, let me know in advance; I will bring a bib, I ruined my shirt with drool. Hehe. Also a thank you to Tim and Mark for their works of BOSS art.

Thank you Gary for taking the pictures of these cars, I will be saving mine as a screen saver. Did anyone get a picture of all of us together holding the banner?

I do not think the weekend could have gone better and I am so glad you guys allowed this Canadian and his family to be a part of all of this, we will remember it for ever.

Oh...BTW, its overcast and 61 deg right now, and looks like that is the weather for the next 10 days.I miss the high 90's we had.

Thank you!

Philip, Cher, and MacKenzie
