Boss 302 head gaskets
« on: August 13, 2019, 09:41:01 pm »
Hello guys,

I was searching for head gaskets for Boss 347 stroker engine.  I am surprised that there is not a big selection out there.  Is the Felpro 1021 the gasket everyone using?

Is there any modifications necessary or are these bolt on ready?

Doug

I worked with Cometic to develop a .036 thick with 4.080 bore gasket (will work with up to .040 overbore). The gasket has this number on it, H1479SP4036S. There are finish requirements for the mating surfaces. Chuck

I'd stick with the Felpro 1021.
Owned my BOSS since March 1974.

I'd stick with the Felpro 1021.
Does everyone install this gasket dry?
Does anyone spray this gasket with sealant?

"I" use them dry but some use spray Copper Coat. Fel Pro says dry.
