1970 Mustang fastback
« on: November 10, 2019, 11:35:23 am »
Hello all... been a long time . My question, even tho not a Boss but a friend of mine has a 1970 fastback (Sports Roof Grabber) who purchased it off the original owner now deceased. The car has a rear glass defogger option that claimed he had it installed at the dealership. He has a dealer installed option form with the window sticker, has anyone heard of dealer installed rear defogger on a sports roof ? Looks correct ? Thanks for your response.

You could only order a rear window defogger from Ford on a 1970 Mustang coupe for $26:

I can't see why a dealer couldn't install a defogger on a 1970 Mustang fastback.  My 1970 BOSS 302 has a dealer-installed trunk-mounted battery.

It is pretty much just a blower motor to defog the window. There is no heater like a new car. I think under the rear trim on the inside there is an opening in the structure underneath for it to mount.

Check the parts catalog, I think the parts show up in the earlier editions.
