Cross Boss on ebay (not mine)
« on: November 10, 2019, 04:34:21 pm »
Link to Cross Boss and Inline on ebay. Large carb. Too bad. I think prices have fallen on these recently. Probably would have better luck with the smaller carb.  Just an opinion.

Unfortunately its totally useless on a 302 with the 'B' carb. Btw, $9,500 bucks is not a 'deal' in my opinion.
Current lifelong project:
1969 Mustang Fastback/FOX chassis, 6 speed, 4 wheel discs, with a modern Can-Am 494 (Boss 429), Kaase headed, intake mounted with a 1425 cfm 'B' Autolite Inline carb, ala Trans-Am style…Whew!

Fully restored A-carb and nice CB intake: $7500. I have one if anybody needs one.

Best,
Kelly

A big plus if Kelly is selling one he has also has gone through it, and can actually support it with gaskets, jets, etc.

What is the going price for a B carb by itself?

A carb?

CB manifold with no carb?

I'm thinking that the ebay sale should be looked at as two separate items, a manifold and a carb, since the two items do not make a practical setup together.

I would use Kelly's pricing as a good reference. However, his complete set up has been gone through and IS ready to use. The ebay item will need work (carb), and most likely the seller won't separate his parts….that said, it can't hurt to ask. Pricing? The larger 'B' carb will be a tough sell…unless you intend to use it on a large cid engine, or as a dual IR set up.
