I have to agree with Brian, I had those rear brake scoops on my BM Mustang when I bought it.  Both Mustangs were prepared by Bill Spangler for Marshall Robbins!!  He also converted both Mustangs to Dry Sump oiling systems for 1972 T/A season.  FYI

I don’t think exhaust heat is a factor.  It’s all exiting out the sides.  I suspect they will pick up some tire rubber and small debris.  Just clean out post race.  My car gets little rubber bits everywhere.

I think Brian meant the front ducts that are on the strut rods.

I think I saw some front strut  scoops at CoTA. Maybe on that blue Boss.  I’ll have to dig through the pics.
