Floor Jack use on Boss
« on: April 06, 2020, 03:35:52 pm »
Question on using a mini floor jack to jack up rear end of 2013 Boss.  I had a 2012 Boss LS and it was tricky jacking it up.  There was actually a picture diagram I had gotten off of this website a few years ago with suggested jacking locations.  I have no problem jacking up front but the rear looks a bit tricky.  The side pipes and all.  What is the preferred location to jack up the rear with a floor jack?  This car came from Jersey (Lousy salted roads) and has some surface rust on the rear arms and sway bar.  Want to jack it up, get under there and do some cosmetic clean up because Rust Never Sleeps.  Thanks, Paul

Because of the side exhausts, it’s not easy to get access to the punch weld without damaging it.  I went ahead and installed Steeda jacking rails on my Laguna Seca. Well worth while, take about 30 mins to install.

Hopey, question about Steeda Jacking Rails.  Do you have a model or PN and did you buy them off the Steeda website or Amazon?  Also, how invasive is the installation (drilling, screws, etc).  Thanks for the info.  Paul

If I remember I bought them off the AmericanMuscle.com website, but steeda is probably an easier purchase. Bolt in installation, no drilling. I think they bolted into the side exhaust hanger at the back and the cross brace at the front.

Thanks all for the responses.  I bought and installed the Steeda Jacking Rails and they are perfect although I wish they extended a bit further aft.  Nice product.  Easy install.  Thanks for the tip!
